Elliott Landsman, President.
Since 1971, Mr. Landsman has been involved in the development and management of commercial/industrial real estate and multi-family residential projects in Upstate New York. A native Rochesterian, Mr. Landsman is a respected business leader in the Rochester area, and has long been active in both civic and charitable organizations. Under his leadership, the Landsman Development Corp. now owns and/or operates over 6 million square feet of real estate split between 2,500 units of residential properties and over 3 million square feet of industrial and commercial space.
He has served on the Board of Directors of local business and charitable groups, including the United Way, Alexis De Toqueville Society, Genesee Hospital Foundation, and the Rochester Rehabilitation Center. He is a past President of Rehab Facilities Holding Company and the Jewish Community Center of Rochester. He has been actively involved in the Golisano Children's Hospital at Strong at the University of Rochester Medical Center, and was instrumental in the establishment of its Israeli Pediatric Scholar Exchange Program.
Mr. Landsman was the 1989 recipient of the University of Rochester's Associates Medal in recognition of his outstanding service to both the University and the community, and the recipient of the 2001 Alexis de Tocqueville Award for outstanding volunteer contributions. Mr. Landsman was a 2003 recipient of the Dr. David Satcher Challenge Community Achievement Award, an award given to a member of the Rochester community who exemplifies the mission of Project Believe and who has made significant contributions to improving community health. Project Believe is about improving health and healthcare and is led by the University of Rochester Medical Center in concert with other area non-profit community and social service providers. Mr. Landsman is a member of The Rochester Area Chapter of the New York State Association of Commercial REALTORS® (NYSCAR), New York State Association of Realtors, Inc. (NYSAR), Greater Rochester Association of Realtors, Inc. (GRAR), Building Owners and Managers Association International (BOMA), and Upstate New York Chapter National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP). He is a licensed New York State Real Estate Broker.
